Our one of a kind 36’ Carousel opens to the public this Saturday and will remain a permanent fixture for many years to come at El Dorado Park East. Surrounded by nature our Carousel named the, “Crystal Corral Carousel”, was built and decorated to blend in with our prospector and Gold Rush era Theme. We have also created an original story line and music that plays along as you and your trusty steed go on a journey to deliver the towns gold to the mint.

The El Dorado Frontier is a mini theme park that also offers a 1 1/2 mile train ride on our 18 Gauge train, an area for panning for treasures, food, drinks and plenty of photo op spots.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

For the first time in years, El Dorado Park East will be opening for a special evening event, for our Christmas tree light ceremony. Long Beach Parks and Recreation have worked hard to allow us to open The El Dorado Frontier for one special night. Come join us as we light up our 16’ man made Christmas tree, that was crafted from reclaimed wood. El Dorado Park East will open the Wardlow gate to allow direct access to Area 3 of the park. The gate will open from 4:30pm-7pm, parking is $5 per car. We will also open our gates at 4:30 and lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30pm. Following the ceremony, we will have Cal Heights Music here who will be treating us with their young children choir singing Christmas carols for all to sing along. We will also have hot chocolate, coffee, snacks and hot dogs available for purchase. Bring your families, a blanket and flashlights and take a night ride on our Christmas train and bundle up! Carousel & Panning for Treasure will also be open.
