As a culminating event of its Spring 2023 programming, Arts Council for Long Beach’s youth arts program, Go Make Something, Kids! Is excited to present Long Beach, Unified, an art exhibition to be held on Saturday, April 8th from 1-3PM at the Long Beach Community College Art Gallery.

Long Beach, Unified features original art works from Go Make Something Kids! participants who represent the Leadership Academies of Franklin, Hamilton, Hoover, Marshall, and Washington middle schools.

The goal of the Go Make Something Kids! program is to engage and expose students to real-world learning while equipping them with tools, skills, and resources that are pivotal to their personal and professional growth and development. Our five-week, in class workshops are created and facilitated by members of the ACLB’s 2021-22 Professional Artist Fellows cohort—Ryan Hoyle (Creative Entrepreneurship), Rejeana V. Black (Photography), Brandie Davison (Painting Facilitator), Weldon Spurling (Photography), and Jose Angel Castro (Creative Arts Consultant)—all of whom are working professionals in their respective fields.

This program was sponsored with support from the Arts Council for Long Beach, the Port of Long Beach, the Miller Foundation, the California Arts Council, Long Beach City College, Bess J. Hodges Foundation, and the Rudolph and Daphne Munzer Foundation.
