HUMPDAY CIRCLE TIME

When: Wednesday January 29th from 5 pm – 5:45 pm

Where: GIGL, 3430 N Los Coyotes Diagonal, Long Beach

Circle time fun for the whole family!  This humpday at Gigil, they’ll be singing, dancing, playing instruments, bubbles or even doing some crafts and sensory play on certain weeks. Every week they mix it up and do something a little different!  1 reservation is required per family. All are welcome!  Kids and Family classes include 1 hour of open play, or you can upgrade to an all day play pass for $10.  Book your tix using the link below!

VISION BOARD PARTY

When: Friday January 31st from 5 pm – 9 pm

Where: Expo Arts Center, 4321 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach

Are you ready to create your Vision for 2020?  Head to the Expo Arts Center to put together your very own Vision Board for the year.   Eat, drink and create! Snacks, drinks and sweets will be served!  A vision board is a completely unique visualization tool to define your dreams, goals, and desires. The Vision Board is created by making a collage of inspiring pictures, motivating quotes, personal affirmations and powerful words from magazines and other print medium.  All materials needed will be provided but if you have personal photos, sketches or doodles that you would like to include on your Board to make it truly a reflection of Y-O-U feel free to bring them along!  Stop in or stay the whole time and feel free to bring a friend!  Don’t forget to RSVP using their event link!

ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST DAY

When: Saturday February 1st from 9 am – 12 pm

Where: Long Beach Creamery, 4141 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach

Long Beach Creamery will be celebrating Ice Cream for Breakfast Day on Saturday, February 1, 2020! From 9am to 12pm, all locations will be offering breakfast sundaes and LOTS of ice cream!  Breakfast sundaes offered include pancake sundaes (available at Bixby Knolls), waffle sundaes (available at SteelCraft Bellflower and Downtown LB), and Crisper sundaes (available at all locations).  What’s a Crisper, you ask? Oh, it’s just a glazed donut pressed in their waffle machine with a crispy outside and chewy inside. CREATION STATION

When: Saturday February 1st from 1 pm – 4 pm

Where: Rancho Los Cerritos, 4600 Virginia Rd, Long Beach

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner!  Get creative with history during this free family event! Using a wide variety of colorful materials, children can experiment with natural materials to create seasonal arts and crafts.  February’s theme, Heart’s Crazy, celebrates Valentine’s Day. This drop-in program takes place rain or shine.  Visit their event page for more info!

OTTER BOWL

When: Sunday February 2nd from 3 pm – 6 pm

Where: Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach

We’ve all heard of the Super Bowl, but what about the Otter Bowl?! This Sunday, head to the aquarium to see the playful sea otters vie for the title of champion as they play ball in their exhibit!  And if you want to catch a peek at the big game too, you can even watch it with the otters at the Northern Pacific Gallery on the second floor at 4:00 p.m.  Admission is just $19.95 for everyone after 3:00 p.m, and free for members. The Aquarium is open until 6:00 p.m. Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m. in the Northern Pacific Gallery.  Check out their website to purchase advance tix, and don’t forget to follow the Aquarium of the Pacific on social media to be the first to learn about more fun events!

SoCAL MUSEUMS FREE-FOR-ALL-DAY

When: Saturday January 25th from 9 am – 5 pm

Where: Multiple locations, check website for full list

SoCal Museums presents the 15th Annual Museums Free-for-All. Over 40 museums—presenting art, cultural heritage, natural history, and science—will open their doors and invite visitors to attend free of charge.  Use the link below to see the list of participating museums and additional info about each of them!
