Join us for a frightfully festive October Fourth Fridays creeping and crawling along 4th Street’s Retro Row between Temple and Hermosa avenues on ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ ๐ข๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ต from ๐ฒ:๐ฌ๐ฌ-๐ต:๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฝ๐บ.
Here at PATM, we’ll be hosting an Opening Reception for ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ก๐ ๐ฝ๐ค๐ญ๐๐จ, a new exhibit by Long Beach artist ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ๐๐ผ๐ป, who will be in attendance. Using an assortment of Cuban cigar boxes and display boxes, she cleverly frames some villainous vignettes of the horrors currently haunting America, along with some “calmer and more sophomoric” scenes. Inspired by her mother’s work as a photographer, Kay studied at the University of Minnesota where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography and Sculpture, and subsequently earned her masterโs degree. She also has a passion for travel, and a selection of her photographs from her 2012 visit to Cuba will also be on exhibit. The works will be on display and available for purchase through the end of December.
Also joining us for Fourth Fridays festivities will be our favorite Long Beach activist zinester, @brattyxbre_ from ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ’๐ ๐ง๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ, popping-up with a fresh selection of her handmade zines, stickers, and buttons. Plus additional pop-ups, food specials, and music at our neighbor stores Marida Jewelry, Gusto Bread, Skies For Miles, and Pippi + Lola!
